Our Founding Story
Ranga Nursery and Primary School was founded in the year 1975 by the late Mrs. Suryakumari, daughter of the esteemed Professor M.K. Shanmugam. A distinguished scholar and educationalist, Professor Shanmugam was the founding principal of Sir Theagaraya College in Chennai. The inspiration to establish the school came from Mrs. Suryakumari’s mother-in-law, the late Mrs. Ranganayaki Ammal, who was also the sister of Professor Shanmugam.
